When it comes to delivering power, the 2022 Explorer doesn't disappoint. The standard engine is an intercooled turbo four-cylinder that puts out 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. If you opt for the ST, you'll enjoy a twin-turbo premium V-6 capable of producing 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. With that much power, the Explorer can tow 5,000 pounds, perfect for when you want to take the boat out to the lake. The robust V-6 is also available in the King Ranch and Platinum models.

For the first time ever, the ST model lets drivers choose between a nimble, road-ready front-wheel drive and a rugged all-wheel-drive system.
