Under the GT's hood, you'll find a 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 capable of producing 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. When the Coyote V-8 features in the Mach 1, it puts out 470 horsepower. For even more power, go with the Shelby GT500. This top trim level's 5.2-liter Predator V-8 generates 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque.

Of course, you can expect the 2021 Mustang to deliver optimal performance every time you take the wheel. The Shelby GT500 features a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. If you go with one of the other trims, you can choose between a six-speed manual and a 10-speed automatic. All models feature rear-wheel drive.
