2023 Ford Bronco
SUVs are among the most popular ways to get around, but the new Ford Bronco is not your ordinary SUV. This rugged and stylish vehicle can take you to places most other SUVs wouldn't dare try with a variety of features suitable for adventures both on and off the road. Learn about the new 2023 Ford Bronco, and discover all the exciting features it has to offer.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The variety of available exterior styling is extensive, and this is best illustrated through the Bronco's 10 different trim levels. At the base level, you already get LED headlights and 16-inch wheels. Upgrade to the Big Bend, and you'll find 17-inch wheels and 32-inch all-terrain tires. With the Black Diamond trim, the wheels are painted gloss black. With the Outer Banks trim, the wheels are increased to 18 inches and you get powder-coated tube steps. The Badlands trim is more off-road oriented with 33-inch all-terrain tires and LED signature lighting. The Wildtrack takes that even further with unique graphics and front bash plates. At the Everglades trim level, the Bronco boasts a Warn winch kit and air intake snorkel. Meanwhile, the Raptor has 13.1 inches of ground clearance and 37-inch all-terrain tires. The Heritage Edition and Heritage Limited Edition trims offer unique retro styling and special packages.
Engine (Power)
Three engine options are offered with the Bronco, and they're all impressive in their own right. The base engine is a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that offers an impressive 275 horsepower with 315 pound-feet of torque. If you're looking for more power, the 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 has plenty to offer with 315 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the Raptor's 3-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine boasts an incredible 418 horsepower with 440 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
This SUV's performance primarily centers around its off-roading capabilities. It has an independent front suspension and four-wheel-drive setup on all models, and the four-wheel drive power can be distributed in varying degrees based on what the situation calls for. Mud-terrain tires and beadlock-capable wheels are also available along with an electronic locking front and rear differential. While the Bronco is designed to absorb treacherous off-road terrain, the drive on the road is remarkably smooth and relaxing while still being responsive.
Interior
The inside of the Bronco is similar to its exterior in that it sports a largely retro design that's rugged and utilitarian. For example, it comes with rubber-lined grips that let you get in and out easily, as well as a lockable center console bin and rubber-encased buttons. There's plenty of tech too, like the SYNC 4 infotainment system that's controlled via a standard 8-inch touchscreen or available 12-inch screen.
Safety Features
With how much adventure the Bronco is likely to see, it's only natural that Ford outfitted it with some of the best safety features on the market. Parking sensors and automatic high beams are available along with systems designed to make trail driving and rock crawling a bit easier. More popular systems like forward collision warning with automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring are available as well.
