Your car battery's most important function is to provide the power to start your car. When you turn the key or press the button, your battery sends a very strong electrical charge to the solenoid in the starter to crank your engine. Your engine should start almost immediately after the charge is sent. If it doesn't start or takes time for your engine to crank, you may need a new car battery. This results in an electrical shortfall. Your car's computer will try and balance the lack of electricity by shifting power between components according to need. When you switch on the lights, they will be dim as they're being allocated just enough power to work. If your lights suddenly go bright after being dim, your alternator needs to be replaced. Frequent Bulb Failures As mentioned, bulbs have a limited life. If you have to frequently replace your bulbs, this is a sign that something is wrong. There may be a short or other problem with the wiring, or there may be corrosion in one or both of the headlight sockets. It could also be another sign of a weakening alternator, as your bulbs require a constant, consistent power supply. Broken Lens The lenses on the headlights protect the bulbs and the internal electrical wiring from water, dirt, and any other contaminants. These lenses can be damaged, and either crack or break. If you want something different from your run-of-the-mill takeout dishes, try their Hunan shrimp and scallop dinner, the Szechuan beef, or the Singapore rice noodles. Golden House Restaurant New China King's closest competitor is Golden House, located at 1241 E Grand River Ave. Fortunately, the healthy competition keeps us awash in great Chinese food. Golden House has won awards for best Chinese food in the county, and it shows. This is especially a nice spot to stop by for a dining experience. The staff and owners are friendly and will make you feel welcome. Be sure to try the spring rolls, the egg drop soup, and the great dumplings they serve up here. Their wonton soup is amazing and features homemade wontons that are better than anything you've ever tried. Be sure to also try their almond chicken, the cashew stir fry, and the silver noodles, which are stir-fried with Spanish onions, carrots, egg, green onions, and your choice of chicken, pork, or beef. The noodles are all hand-made from scratch, too. China Best At 138 W Highland Rd, China best is doing its best to bring the best takeout to Howell. What really stands out to you here are the great portions for the price. You can dine in, but takeout is what they're best known for. You can order online or by phone. You'll want to try their egg rolls, the fried dumplings, and the BBQ pork buns. All their chow meins are really good, and the shrimp fried rice is a real standout offering.
