red 2022 Ford Escape

First released back in the year 2000, the Ford Escape has been Ford’s flagship compact crossover SUV for over 2 decades. Every new model since then has brought a string of new and exciting features with it, making the Escape one of Ford’s most interesting cars, and the new 2022 model is no different. If you’d like to know more about the 2022 Ford Escape, we’ve compiled this list of some of the car’s most exciting features.

Drive Modes to Suit Any Terrain

With the flick of a button, your Ford Escape can instantly alter its ride and suspension to tackle any terrain you throw it at. There are five options to choose from: Eco, Sport, Normal, Slippery, and Deep Snow or Sand, and once you’ve selected your option, the car will handle everything else, sending power to the wheels that need it and adjusting its torque as necessary.

Size-Adjustable Cargo Hold

Never struggle with your shopping again with the new Ford Escape and its intelligent design. The car comes with over 37 cubic feet of space in the trunk, but this almost doubles to a whopping 65 cubic feet once you slide or fold down the rear seats – a massive cargo hold for a compact SUV.

To help you fill this huge space, the new Ford Escape also comes with a hands-free, foot-activated liftgate, meaning you don’t need to bend down too much to drop and pick up your shopping.

Ford CoPilot 360

We are living in an age of rapid technological advancements, and we have now reached the point where your car can drive itself. With Ford’s CoPilot 360 Technology, your car uses a ton of cameras that are fitted around your vehicle to gauge the speed and positions of cars around you, adjusting its speed to ensure you never crash, and with intelligent white-line sensors, you will never stray out of your lane.

This system also comes with pre-collision assist and automatic emergency braking systems, so when you’re driving, your car is constantly keeping an eye out for you, and if it detects an imminent collision, it will automatically apply the brakes for you.

Optional Hybrid Engine

It’s never been more important to think about your impact on the environment, and so Ford has released its newest range of Ford Escapes with an optional hybrid engine. Boasting an average of 41 miles per gallon, this powerful 2.5L engine will get you around town quickly, efficiently, and with much fewer carbon emissions than the standard gas models.

These are just a few of the features that make the new Ford Escape such a great car to own, and there are many others besides these too! Whether you’re looking for a family car or something to take you off-road, the Ford Escape is a great all-rounder. Come on down and visit us at Bob Maxey Ford of Howell if you’re interested in this great car and we can find a model to suit you.
