The 2024 Ford Mustang you’ll see at your nearest Ford dealer has been significantly restyled without abandoning anything that has made the line so beloved all these years. It offers the same iconic look, muscular performance, and practical functionality at a very affordable price. However, it has a completely new interior, modernized with a contemporary aesthetic, comfortable seating, upgraded technology, and impressive standard equipment. The Mustang is still a fast, fun car with no compromises as a daily driver.

Design

Though the cabin has been thoroughly updated, the 2024 Mustang retains its original format of two doors with four seats. However, the front seats are more adult-friendly than ever before, with enough space and support to stay comfy even on long road trips. The sharper geometric style is complemented by increased functionality, and even the convertible trim is noticeably well-insulated. The entire combination gives this model a whole new upscale look and feel.

The back seats and ample trunk space are much more useful than anything the Mustang’s peers can offer. You can pile suitcases, golf clubs, and more into the trunk. If you need even more room, the back seats fold almost completely flat to extend the available space.

Performance

It doesn’t matter if performance or comfort is your top priority: the 2024 Mustang delivers both. Budget-conscious buyers don’t have to yearn for the top-tier V-8. A 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine and 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters are standard on the base-level EcoBoost model. It provides speedy acceleration, 315 horses, and 350 lb.-ft. of torque. So lack of power is not a problem for the new pony car, no matter which trim you choose.

The Mustang’s responsive steering, athletic handling, and strong brakes will have you breezing through city streets and tight corners equally well. Meanwhile, a non-adjustable suspension buffers all the bumps, potholes, and other irregularities you’ll meet on the road.

Technology

A whole new infotainment system is standard across the entire line. It includes six speakers, a 12.4-inch fully digital instrument panel connected to a 13.2-inch touchscreen display running Ford’s Sync 4 system with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included. There are also two smart-charging USB ports.

Safety

Ford has packed the 2024 Mustang with far more safety technology and driver-assistance features than you will find in any of its rivals. The manufacturer’s Co-Pilot 360 suite is standard even in the line’s lowest trims. It includes lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and more.
