Powerful Performance

The Ford Expedition is powerful due to its 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine with Auto Stop/Start technology. This technology stops the engine whenever you are at a stoplight and puts it in standby mode. When you step on the accelerator, the engine starts back up, and you are on your way. Combined with the engine, the Expedition has a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. This gives you seven distinct drive modes to choose from.

The Expedition is RWD, and you can choose between 2WD and 4WD. If you choose 4WD, an Intelligent 4WD with a Terrain Management System is available. The Expedition has ABS with Brake Assist and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, which is a subsystem of the ABS used to determine the ideal brake force distribution to all four wheels. It has a fully boxed frame and electronic power-assist rack-and-pinion steering.

Luxurious Style

The 10 trim levels each have a unique style. For instance, the Timberline trim has black leather-trimmed seats with its signature orange stitching, while the King Ranch trim has Del Rio leather seating and its iconic “W” logo throughout the interior. All the Expeditions have a head-turning bold exterior. You can choose from the regular wheelbase Expedition or go for the Expedition MAX models with nearly a foot of extra space.

The Expedition has room for up to eight passengers if you choose the third-row seating option. Tri-zone auto Temperature Control will ensure the comfort of all your passengers. The second-row seating can be either a 40/20/40 split bench with manually reclining, fold-flat seats, or power-folding Tip & Slide Captain’s chairs. The third-row seat is a 60/40 bench with available Powerfold with Power Recline. The front seats have available heat and ventilation.

Safety and Connected Technology

All Expeditions have Ford Co-Pilot Technologies, a suite of driver assistance systems that includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking with available pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, a lane-keeping system, auto high beams, and a rearview camera. For safe trailering, the Expedition has trailer sway control, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, and hill start assist.

SYNC 4 is onboard with a 12-inch touchscreen, giving you voice-activated, hands-free phone, text, and navigation control. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto lets you download your smartphone to the system giving you all the connectivity of your phone along with the apps and music from your phone. FordPass Connect with a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot lets you connect up to 10 devices simultaneously, so all passengers can use their devices.
