The Ford Ranger is one of the most popular midsize pickup trucks, offering impressive capability and utility. Available at our Howell Ford dealership, the 2024 Ranger comes with four trims that feature impressive performance features, towing capabilities, and technology.

XL

The foundational XL trim comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, producing 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with available four-wheel drive increasing traction and towing performance. Properly equipped 2WD models can tow up to 7,500 pounds.

Inside, the XL features the latest SYNC 4A infotainment software on its 10.1-inch touchscreen. Standard tech includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The XL comes with built-in driving aids like pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection and automatic high beams.

XLT

Stepping up to the XLT trim opens the door for enhanced performance through an available 2.7L EcoBoost twin-turbocharged V6 engine. This muscular engine churns out 315 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. The power allows properly equipped 4WD models to tow up to 7,500 pounds. Off-road prowess gets boosted in the XLT thanks to all-terrain tires and the available electronic locking rear differentials.

The Ranger XLT builds on the core XL features by adding several tech integrations and comfort amenities. An available 12-inch touchscreen pairs with the standard SYNC 4A system to create an intuitive and well-loaded infotainment hub. The XLT adds to the XL’s safety features with blind spot monitoring and rear, while Ford’s CoPilot360 with adaptive cruise control is available.

Lariat

The Ranger Lariat adds new levels of refinement but maintains rugged capability. The standard 2.3L turbocharged four-cylinder engine continues, while an available 2.7L EcoBoost V6 amps up performance. Towing capacity reaches an impressive 7,500 pounds, while the maximum payload capacity is 1,542 pounds for well-equipped models.

The Lariat pampers drivers through standard heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and an available 12-speaker B&O premium audio system. It boasts a 12-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, navigation, and wireless smartphone integration. The Lariat comes standard with safety tech like pre-collision assist, lane-keeping system, blind spot information, active park assist, and adaptive cruise control.

Raptor

Living up to its extreme namesake, the 2024 Ranger Raptor transforms into a desert-racing and rock-crawling monster. Under the sculpted hood lies a high-output 3.0L EcoBoost twin-turbocharged V6 churning out over 400 horsepower. The specially tuned long travel suspension with FOX Live Valve shocks at all four corners and all-terrain tires provide over 10 inches of ground clearance.

The Raptor retains crew cab seating for five and can still tow over 5,500 pounds. Inside, drivers and passengers are treated to sport seats, leather and accent stitching, and Ford’s latest SYNC 4A infotainment on a 12-inch digital display. The Raptor also comes packed with the same driver assistance technologies in the Lariat model.

Whichever trim you choose, the 2024 Ranger is bound to impress with its rugged looks and impressive capabilities. Contact Bob Maxey Ford of Howell to schedule a test drive for your favorite Ranger models.
